About Sponsorship

We look to sponsors for three main types of support: monetary, in-kind, and mentorship.

Since we are a second-year team, we do not have the thousands of dollars of parts, machines, and the mentorship community that other teams have. Without the generous support of many sponsors, we will not be able to support our team well and compete at a high level, as well as be severely limited in outreach events.

However, based off of our previous experiences with the FIRST Tech Challenge, we can estimate our total costs to be 18 thousand - 25 thousand dollars.

We view sponsorship as more than just a money transfer. We view it as being part of an integrated community, building a relationship with our team, and having a significant impact on our future. We provide benefits to our kind sponsors for their contributions, based on the amounts they contribute. We appreciate every contribution, no matter how small.

In-Kind Donations

In addition to monetary support, we also seek in-kind donations. These can be things like CNC routers, 3D printers, laser cutters, printing filament, etc. Essentially, any donated products and materials that can assist our team.

These donations are always greatly appreciated and used year-round. These can also help us by providing us with tools and equipment so that we can use our funds on more pressing expenses.

Sponsorship perks will be determined based on the value of the equipment donated.

Mentorship

We all gain knowledge from extensive hands-on experience, and we all are very innovative and creative with our competitive designs. However, there's always situations that arise where we feel like expert help can significantly help us. Sponsor mentorship can help us develop real world experience and potentially encourage them toward leadership roles.
